Yes, That’s Taylor Swift; Yes, She’s Singing an Adele Song. No, She Is Not the Star In This Moment.

When Taylor Swift swung by Boston Children’s Hospital, it was a surprise that made the day of many, many young patients. One of those patients, who had recently undergone a bone marrow transplant for leukemia, was a pianist. And that meant a chance to for one of the great music stars of our generation did a classic vocal performance, with a lone piano accompanist. Says the patient, who posted it on his YouTube channel:

She asked me to play a song for her. I decided to play a song I had recently started working on which was “Someone Like You,” by Adele. She said she would sing what she knew, and I said that I would play as much as I knew. This was the most amazing moment in my life being able to accompany Taylor Swift.
