Set a few well-meaning and passionate students in a coffee shop with Bibles and a theological question, and you’re liable to hear some pretty interesting ideas. Throw out the same idea on Facebook and see how they run – is it a Joel Osteen prosperity Gospel, Jim Staley return to Jewish roots, Benny Hinn’s healing crusades, speaking in tongues? Is the story to share your transformed life? The apostle Paul certainly didn’t think the life of the Church was about any of those things. Instead, he “decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” – over and against “lofty speeches or wisdom” (1 Corinthians 2). Andrew Ramsey of Calvary Chapel Bible College breaks down the simplicity of the Gospel, and it is all the more real as he delivers this quick message in the midst of struggling with cerebral palsy. Check it out in the clip below.
