She May Have Failed Service Dog Training, But She’s Saving The World In The Coolest Way!

Each to their own abilities, right? This dog can surf! See how she is inspiring those with disabilities and raising money for good causes!

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. – Romans 12:6-8

We’ve all heard the phrase “each to his own abilities.” As we can see from the scripture, above, that sage advice has been around for quite some time. And in this touching video, we also see that this advice can apply to more than just humans! Ricochet was trained for months to be a service dog. But her propensity to chase birds made it apparent that she wasn’t suited to the job of service dog. That’s when Ricochet became a SURFice Dog. Ricochet now helps raise funds for special needs kids, people with disabilities, and wounded warriors. Check out her first big surfing fund raiser and learn more on her website.
