You’ve seen items similar to this, we’re sure. It looks like a simple crystal vase, right? Well, if that was your first thought, you’d be wrong.

Although this piece is meant to hold liquids, it actually has a hole on both ends. How the heck is that supposed to work? Have you figured out what this thing is yet?

If you guessed punch glass filler, then you’re correct! The way it works is actually quite simple; it functions just like a kid playing with a straw in a drink, except with an upscale sophisticated twist!

First you put the filler into the bowl of punch with the bigger end down. Then you put your thumb over the top of the filler where the smaller hole is. This creates some suction that causes the punch to stay inside the crystal even when it’s lifted out of the punch bowl.
