Pro Football Player Takes Cancer Survivor to Her Senior Prom

High school senior Courtney Alvis spent much of her junior year battling cancer. She wasn’t able to make it to prom that year and was determined to make it her senior year. Unfortunately, she wasn’t asked. When Alabama running back Trent Richardson heard about this he promptly asked her to the prom. The All-American football star; who has subsequently been drafted into the NFL, can relate to Courtney’s struggle, as his own mother is also battling cancer.
