When Lieutenant Colonel Frank Dailey went to lunch with his family, the active duty fighter pilot never expected the blessing to come from a tiny package: a post-it note wrapped around a soggy, cold twenty-dollar bill. Myles Eckert’s father, the note explained, was also a soldier – and this twenty dollars, found only moments before lying in a Cracker Barrel parking lot, was his only way of paying it forward.
