Lama Lobsang, a monk from Yushu, a Tibetan autonomous region in China, has 170 children. It started with 33 children who found themselves without families after an earthquake in 2010, and has since grown to the large number of children it is today. Lama says this isn’t a school or an orphanage – it is a home. They call him father, and he calls them his children. A lot of the money to house and feed these kids comes from religious lectures Lama gives, as well as donations from friends around the world.
