This Mom Refused Chemo to Have Her Daughter, And It Cost Her. I Couldn’t Stop the Tears…

Stacie Crimm was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor while she pregnant. Not wanting to hurt her unborn child, she refused chemotherapy.

According to her brother, Ray Phillips, Stacie was in the hospital when her stats dropped, so her doctors had to perform an emergency c-section. Dottie Mae was born earlier than she was supposed to, and so weighed a mere 2 lbs and 1 ounce.

However, Stacie couldn’t meet her newborn daughter because of her health issues and the risk it posed.

“We’d show her pictures and she’d cry, and she’d want to hold her baby and — it was quite the ordeal, to be honest with you,” Phillip says in this video. “I felt–I felt helpless. I wanted to help her, I wanted to do what I could for her, we all did. But — they just — they had told us it was impossible for her to see the child.”
