Azaiah DeGarmo seemed a perfectly healthy baby boy, so when his father Daniel kissed him on the forehead before heading to a homeless ministry meeting, it was just another Tuesday. And Daniel pulled over as an ambulance rushed by, sirens blaring, lights flashing, to call out to God “save my son!” As he kissed his boy goodbye, Daniel could only cry out to God “My son died,” when a still small voice told him quietly “Mine did, too.” And Daniel remains struck to this day of God’s great grace and though a family missing its vibrant young life, the DeGarmos know better than ever just how much God loves, and where their faith is called to go.
