From Saratoga to Belmont, Metro Meteor won eight races and brought in over $300,000 in winnings. Not a bad career, really. But this thoroughbred’s real calling came off the track, after career-ending knee injuries sent him to a horse rescue and artist Ron Krajewski. Ron and his wife so loved their adopted rescue project that Metro’s long passed his two-year expiration date (after a vet’s assessment) and has a second career: painting.
