At age 15, Melody Williamson is a rising star in the world of underground bluegrass music thanks to the social power of YouTube. But as much as she loves music and classic country, she’s not too enthused about the direction the music industry is taking the genre. Tractors, trucks, beer, Friday night honky tonks, it just doesn’t sit with her that the music doesn’t lift up values so dear to home, faith and family. So she wrote a bit of a protest song: there’s no country here. See her take on the industry with honesty about how modern culture makes her feel.
