Stanley Roberts has met dozens of people through his “People Behaving Badly” segment on the Bay Area’s KRON 4 news, but none quite so unexpected as Marcus Malone. Stanley met Marcus as the homeless man dug through piles of garbage in Oakland’s Brookfield neighborhood, not far from the airport. Calling himself “The Magnificent,” Marcus claimed to be a member of the original band of street musicians that launched renowned guitarist blues-rock Carlos Santana to international stardom.
