The great English apologist G.K. Chesterton once wrote that “meaninglessness does not come from being weary of pain. It comes from being weary of pleasure.” It’s a great retort to the old quagmire about God creating a world where pain and evil exists – but no one ever really wonders at the incredible gift that beauty, goodness, and truth really are, that we could feel pleasure or pain in the first place!

But in reality, this world is amazing. Only our loving God could create a world so perfect. Sometimes, with all the distractions in life, it may seem easy to forget how awesome our planet is and how blessed we are.
