She Didn’t Know What To Do After High School… You Won’t Believe How A Gap Year Changed Maggie’s Life

Like many high school graduates, Maggie Doyne didn’t quite know what she wanted to do with her life. Hiking and busing into Nepal, Maggie Doyne met Nisha, and this one girl started a journey that would change both their lives.

Like many high school graduates, Maggie Doyne didn’t quite know what she wanted to do with her life. With a backpack on her shoulder, she struck into the world with a volunteer group that eventually led her to northeast India. Hiking and busing into Nepal, Maggie Doyne met Nisha, a girl who would collect river stones and break them down all day to be sold for pennies. Ready to help this one girl, Maggie started a journey that saw her take 30 Nepalese orphans into the Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School that she founded and supports. The kicker? Maggie is only 27 years old.
