Like many kids around the world, Koni Dole grew up dreaming of playing sports at the highest level – and he was good enough to make it come true, but on the last play of the season, things looked grim as a broken leg led to amputation.

Like many kids around the world, Koni Dole grew up dreaming of playing sports at the highest level – and he was good enough to make it come true. A starter on both offense and defense for Huntley Project High School in Worden, Montana, Koni was named to the all-conference team in his junior year. And after that, doctors weren’t sure he would ever play again. In the final game of the season, Koni Dole’s leg was severely broken.
