Jorge is a bit younger than most Marine recruits at Camp Pendleton. At five years old, his dream to be a soldier is all heroics and zero pretense…and it’s sadly impossible. With retinal cancer, Jorge’s near-blindness will keep him from ever enlisting. But for one day, thanks to these jarheads and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he could be general for a day – not just play soldier, but truly be with and like his heroes. Awesome.
