Anne Mahlum initially started running to help her cope with her father’s addictions and a difficult childhood. As she grew older, Anne realized that running is freeing, and empowering, and anyone can do it. This is how the “Back On Your Feet” program got started. The program is for homeless people, and the goal is to run 2 miles, three times a week at 5:30am. Anne says if you can do that, you can get a job. Each member gets a free pair of running shoes, and is monitored for progress and keeping a positive attitude.

Watch this awesome story of Anne’s passion, and how she’s using it to benefit the masses!
