But as kids, we don’t think or realize this as well – it’s hard to see others, even friends, with more material wealth and comfort. For this Singaporean filmmaker, it’s as true as anywhere else. His father worked hard, and he didn’t grow up wealthy – but it took his father’s passing and a visit to a children’s hospital to show him just how rich he truly was.
