Foster Grandmas Are Making a Difference!

In Northern Nevada they’ve figured out the best way to help kids who are struggling in school… bring in a Grandma (or a Grandpa)! The Foster Grandparent Program of Northern Nevada places senior citizens in schools, juvenile detention centers, and transitional housing facilities to build relationships, mentor kids, and help them excel in school. This program not only helps the kids, it gives the volunteers something to dedicate themselves to in their retirement.
