Doctor’s Near Death Experience – Heaven is Real!

He lay comatose in his hospital bed, his experiences gave rise to the proof that there just may be more than this life.

This story was featured on a recent cover of Newsweek.

“Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.” – Deuteronomy 4:39-40

As a second-generation neurosurgeon, Dr. Eben Alexander has studied the brain and its activities for most of his life. As a teacher at Harvard Medical and other distinguished universities, he understood the delicate complexity of our brain and was also a faithful church-goer. However, Dr. Alexander had a struggle with true belief. He desired to believe that Jesus was more than a man; more than just a person who was killed because he was different than the status quo.

Then in late 2008, Dr. Alexander had been in a 8-day coma stemming from an e-coli infection that forced closing off a location in the brain, the distinctly human location known as The Neo-Cortex; the section that gives us thoughts, emotions and feelings. With these pieces stripped away by the infection, one would think he would feel nothing at all. However this caused him to experience something so real and tangible that he felt it was scientific evidence of us having a consciousness after death.

As he lay comatose in his hospital bed, his consciousness was alive and well and he felt he was taken to a larger plane of existence that just 7 days before he would have said was a complete impossibility. However, it was the fact that so many others had the same experience that it gave rise to the proof that there just may be more than this life.

In this exciting video taken from from The Science Channel’s “Through The Wormhole” series, Dr. Eben Alexander describes the transition from strange and mysterious to incredible and breathtaking while deep inside a coma. With stirring narration from actor Morgan Freeman, this is on video you won’t want to miss.
