What Could A 9 Year Old Boy Possibly Give To The Family Of A Fallen Soldier?

This past Memorial Day, Brendan drew the name of a family who had lost their 25-year-old son, Timothy Steele, in Afghanistan. And he gave them Disney World.

Nine-year-old Brendan Haas had an idea. A big idea. He thought that he could trade a small toy soldier for something bigger and better and keep on trading until he had a trip to Disney World. The idea came from the story of a man who traded away a paper clip and eventually traded up to a house. But Brendan didn’t want to do this for personal gain. His goal was to give this wonderful trip (which he succeeded in trading for) to a military family that had lost a loved one. This past Memorial Day, Brendan drew the name of a family who had lost their 25-year-old son, Timothy Steele, in Afghanistan.

This heartwarming spirit of giving is such in inspiration, especially since it is coming from such a young person. We commend him for this selfless act and pray for the Steele family.
