Young Man’s Powerful Confession Strengthens Plea

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. – Proverbs 28:13

Matthew Cordle could have gotten away with murder – literally. The young man, only 22, was out with friends trying to have a good time, but alcohol got the best of him, and when he hit and killed Vincent Canzani, no one knew. But instead of allowing his depression to be an excuse, or letting lawyers advise him that it was not in his best legal interests, Matthew made this powerful and moving confession.
