This Bride Celebrated Love on Her Wedding Day, But Not in the Way She Planned.

Quinn had planned the perfect wedding. Unfortunately, just five short days before the ceremony was to take place, her groom called the wedding off. That’s when mother of the bride, Kari Duane, did something remarkable.

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just. – Luke 14:13-14

Quinn Duane had planned her wedding for months, and everything was perfect. From the location, to the immaculate feast that was to be catered, her wedding day was going to be everything she ever dreamed of. Unfortunately, tragedy struck just five short days before the ceremony when her groom called the wedding off. That’s when mother of the bride, Kari Duane, did something remarkable.

Whether she realizes it or not, she mirrored the well known parable of the wedding banquet in Luke 14. The feast would go on, only instead of the wedding guests who RSVP’d, the family invited everyone from the local homeless shelter to come and share their food.

“When I found out on Monday that the wedding would not be taking place, it just seemed like, of course, this would be something that we would do to give back,” Mrs. Duane told Sacramento television station KCRA.

Watch this how this amazing family is still working through heartache, but determined to see good come out of a painful situation.
