Child’s Battle With Rare Disease Strengthens Her Family’s Faith

Little Kaitlyn passed away but her family was able to see God’s love and His perfect plan in the life she led!

Two-year-old Kaitlyn Bourgeault was diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Disease Type A. This extremely rare condition, in which the body lacks an important enzyme, is incurable, slowly killing a person suffering from it. At the time of this news report, Kaitlyn had very little time left to live. Sadly, this little angel passed into Jesus’ arms on March 22nd, 2012.

While she was alive, though, little Kaitlyn made a huge impact. Her mother started a blog called Kaitlyn’s Korner, as a way to share what her family was going through. Unexpectedly, the blog touched the lives of thousands of people, bringing together the community and well wishers. Kaitlyn’s parents realize that God had a plan for their little girl that didn’t involve a long life with her family, but was no less important. See how their faith has helped see them through this tragedy and helped them understand why God blessed them with Kaitlyn for such a short time.
