On the fast track to a corner office on Wall Street, Adam Braun figured money could do it all – build a house, get water, provide food. But one day as he was on business travels, he asked a young beggar boy what he wanted more than anything in the world. He expected a meal, a home, money, but the answer he actuall received was shocking and humbling: a pencil. This is the gap between we who sit on the Internet and those in crushing global poverty. It’s not technology and money; it’s what those things afford – limitless opportunity. There is promise in a pencil, a chance at education and creativity.
