Remember that scene from Tangled when Flynn and Rapunzel confess their love for each other as thousands of paper lanterns fill the air? It was beautiful, but not something we generally see in real life. Unless you make a trip to New Mexico in October. Every year, Albuquerque is host to the largest hot air balloon festival in the world. In October, Balloon Fiesta sets hundreds of pilots and tourists to marvel at the majestic travel method. Naturally Roadtripper had to make the journey to see it in person. And boy were they ever impressed, just as we are. See the balloons’ lazy drift and majestic colors in the mashup of clips below.
