Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Harold Holland and Lillian Barnes divorced in 1968, after 12 years of marriage. They got married young – Harold was 20 while Lillian was just 16. The couple had 5 kids in 8 years, and Harold spent long hours at work. Ultimately, they decided it was best to go their separate ways, though the two stayed friendly and never became hostile or bitter towards one another.

Fifty years later, Harold and Lillian are more in love than ever before, and ready to tie the knot… again!

In an interview with People, the couple said, “We want to be together to walk that last long road and be companions. We’re both older and more mature. When we were younger we just didn’t have time for each other. Now we do.” After their wedding, Harold and Lillian postponned the honeymoon for a little bit while the family helps Lillian move into Harold’s house.

They don’t plan on waiting long to take their honeymoon, however. “I’ll take her anywhere she wants to go,” Harold said in an MSN article. “I don’t care where it is. I told her we can go anywhere she wants. Life is going to be great.”

Join us in wishing Harold and Lillian Holland all the happiness and love in their new life together!
