Love and marriage is a great fulfillment of God’s intent for Creation, but it’s not the end goal of everyone. Nor should it be, as Paul writes that “it is good for a man not to marry” (1 Corinthians 7:1). God calls us to different things, including work, and to find our identity not in each other but in him. This little girl has the right idea – doing “something special” is what she cares about.
